Matt has built 3 successful businesses from scratch, in retail and manufacturing.
Matt has owned his own business or a master distributorship since 1989.
For 32+ years, he has run successful businesses on three continents. In his first role out of university, he rose from a sales representative through the roles of field sales manager, assistant office manager, pilot sales manager, branch manager, district manager, division manager, and finally national sales manager in a $100 million USD international corporation; all by the age of 28. Neither he nor any relative nor friend knew anyone in the corporation when he started.
He has overcome significant adversity in both his business and personal lives, which has given him the drive and ability to overcome almost any obstacle as well as the ability to inspire others to do the same.
He has a strong work ethic which allows him to tackle and solve almost any problem from multiple angles at the same time. He understands that his work results are a reflection on himself, his family, and his country. Therefore, he is focused on success and results regardless of the reward. As such, he is focused and driven almost to a fault. He focuses on building relationships in business based on mutual respect, empathy as well as humour. He believes that issues are never more important than relationships except in matters of integrity or honesty. He is passionate about tying people into a vision as well as motivating and empowering them to be the best they could possibly be. In short, he is a builder of organisations and more importantly – people.
